Just bored and nosey...

In my fridge is
a couple of cheeses
Ham
Homemade pea and mint soup
Leftover roast veg
Broccoli
Tomatoes
Butter
Milk
Cream
Yogurt
Coke
One avocado
Pesto
Ketchup/mayo/mustard/soy sauce/BBQ sauce
Couple of jams
Gammon
Cheese sauce
Tomatoe pur!e

I do need to go food shopping but with just two of us I try not to have anymore than a weeks worth of perishables. I have eggs on the fridge and a couple sad spuds hanging around.
Mostly we live out if the freezers and I can't wait to move so we can pick up our chest freezer.
Being able to have frozen veg will save us some pennies although I do have spinach and peas
If you dont know where you are going... Any road will take you there :rotfl:

It was actually very good for me to do this :o

I did quite a big shop on Friday and the fridge is pretty full.

    I have:
One quarter jar of HM bread and butter pickles
A few slices of meat from a bacon hock, which will go into a soup
    An opened pack of parmesan
    An opened pack of brie
One and a half packs of strong cheddar
3 and a bit packs of butter
    Plastic bottle of lemon juice
    Tomato ketchup
    Mayo
    A big tub of yogurt
A part tube of tomato puree
    2 different curry pastes
    A tub of hummus
A part pack of spreadable butter
One and a half tubs of Stork margarine for baking
    4 pints of milk
A part carton of cranberry juice
    2 different fruit squashes
A pack of sausage skins in brine
    Tomatoes
    Romaine lettuce
    Celery
    Spring onions
    Radishes
    Cucumber
    Salad cream
    Fish sauce
    3 different salad dressings
    A few rashers of bacon
    2 pigeon breasts
    Some cooked HG rhubarb
    A few mushrooms
    3 peppers
    Some dripping
    Part jar of capers
    Creamed horseradish sauce
    Tartare sauce
    Lime pickle
    Mint sauce
    Pack of new potatoes
    2 parsnips
    A few carrots
A bag of chestnuts someone gave OH

Don't even get me started on the larder or the freezers  Though I do inventory them every now and then, and they are pretty full of home grown stuff and HM preserves atm.

We always cook and eat at home (very rare to get a takeaway or eat out) and I never waste anything. I was surprised to see so many bought sauces - what has probably happened here is that OH put them in the trolley when he was shopping as he fancied them at the time :( I ought to check the dates on those, although I don't agonise too much about dates if common sense tells me different. I will check them though!

    And I won't be shopping for a while :o

Not a lot. Pickles and salad dressings. Milk. Squeezy yoghurt pouches and peel able cheese for the bairns. Ham and coleslaw that needs eating. Few odds and ends of veg in the bottom. Oh and several half drunk bottles of flavoured water. DS tries one then decides he doesn't like it. So it goes in the fridge so I can forget to drink it.

Oh, eggs. We have about 15 eggs. Omelette tomorrow then!
    <thinking I really ought to go shopping>
